What You Need to Open an Account
The requirements are as follows:
E-citizen invoice
How to pay
*382# and follow the steps below.
- Select Pay Bill
- Select E-citizen
- Enter Invoice Number
- Enter Amount
- Confirm Payment Details
- Enter Pin to authorize the payment
- Complete the transaction on the E-citizen portal. Click complete
Log in to M247 app and follow the steps below.
- Select Pay Bill
- Select E-citizen
- Enter Reference Number
- Enter Amount
- Confirm Payment Details
- Enter Pin to authorize the payment
- Complete the transaction on the E-citizen portal. Click complete
Visit any DTB branch and ask to make E-Citizen payment. Provide the following:
- Bill Reference Number
- Provide Account Number (If applicable. If not, proceed to the next step below)
- Present Cash
- Teller will process the transaction and will issue a receipt
- Complete the transaction on the E-citizen portal. Click complete

Kshs. 30 (excl excise duty) for payments made via mobile banking
Kshs.50 (excl excise duty) for payments made at DTB Branches.
