Overview
DTB Multicurrency Prepaid Card gives you a practical way to manage spending across different currencies without using a credit facility. You load money onto the prepaid card before spending, then use the available funds for eligible purchases or cash withdrawals.The card supports up to 16 currency wallets, making it useful when travelling across different countries, paying international expenses, shopping online or keeping selected foreign-currency spending separate from your everyday bank-card use. Kenya Shillings is the default wallet.
The Mastercard card is accepted domestically and internationally at supported POS terminals, online merchants and ATMs. You can reload it through M-Pesa or the DTB App and use DTB's self-help cardholder portal to monitor and manage card activity.
If a transaction requires conversion between currencies, the applicable exchange rate and DTB's current prepaid-card FX charges may apply. Check the current tariff before travelling or making a large foreign-currency purchase.
