Digital IPF
Pay for eligible insurance in manageable instalments through your insurer’s digital channel. DTB Digital IPF is an online Insurance Premium Financing solution that lets eligible customers apply for financing at an integrated insurer’s website or app, helping you secure cover without paying the full insurance premium upfront. Applications are subject to DTB approval.
Overview
DTB Digital IPF brings Insurance Premium Financing into the insurer’s digital purchase journey. Instead of leaving the insurer’s website or app to arrange financing separately, an eligible customer can choose DTB financing at an integrated digital point of sale, complete the required application steps and, once approved, have the financed premium settled so the insurance policy can be issued.
For customers, this creates a convenient way to access eligible insurance when paying the entire premium upfront would put pressure on the household or business budget. For insurance companies, Digital IPF can be integrated into websites, apps and partner channels through APIs, giving customers an additional payment option at the point of purchase.
Digital IPF is a credit facility, not a reduction in the insurance premium. Customers should review the required pre-payment, repayment schedule, financing cost and terms before accepting the facility.

Potentially, yes. Digital IPF is designed for situations where an eligible customer wants insurance cover but would prefer to spread the premium cost rather than make one large upfront payment. If the medical policy is offered through a DTB-integrated insurer and you meet the financing requirements, you can apply for Digital IPF during the online purchase journey.
DTB describes Digital IPF as a digital Buy Now, Pay Later option for eligible insurance products. It is still a credit facility, so approval, pre-payment requirements, financing costs and scheduled repayments apply. Review the repayment schedule and full terms before accepting the facility.
Both products finance eligible insurance premiums. The key difference is the customer journey. Digital IPF is embedded into an approved insurer’s website, application or partner channel so the financing application can happen at the digital point of sale. Traditional IPF may involve a separate bank or insurer-assisted application process. The exact terms and eligibility should always be confirmed for the product and policy being financed.
Start on the website or application of an insurance company integrated with the DTB Digital IPF system. During the eligible policy purchase journey, select the DTB IPF payment or financing option, provide the required information, complete the financing application and follow the prompts for any required pre-payment. DTB then assesses the application before financing is approved and the policy can be issued.

No. DTB states that Digital IPF is issued only against policies from insurers on the Bank’s approved panel and integrated with the Digital IPF solution. Compare the total financing cost, required upfront payment, number and size of instalments, eligibility rules, participating insurers, speed of the application journey, repayment channels and what happens if a payment is late. Digital convenience matters, but the best option is one whose repayment schedule comfortably fits your budget and whose terms you fully understand before accepting.
No. Digital IPF is a financing solution, not a discount on the underlying insurance premium. It helps eligible customers spread the premium payment over time, and financing costs or other applicable charges may apply. Review the total amount payable under the financing agreement as well as the insurer’s premium before you proceed.
A Digital IPF facility is a credit obligation. Missing a scheduled instalment may trigger consequences under the financing agreement and could affect the financed insurance arrangement. If you expect difficulty making a payment, contact DTB before the due date and review the current Digital IPF Terms and Conditions for the applicable default and policy-related provisions.
DTB offers Digital IPF integrations through APIs and partner channels. Insurance companies interested in adding the financing option to their digital journey should contact DTB to begin onboarding, commercial, technical, compliance and integration discussions. DTB’s live page provides a dedicated contact route for insurer onboarding.
An embedded premium-financing option can help reduce the upfront-payment barrier for eligible customers while keeping the purchase journey digital. DTB positions Digital IPF as a way for insurers to support digital customer acquisition, create additional premium and commission opportunities and add a financing option to their website, application or partner-channel experience.
