About the Role:

Diamond Trust Bank is seeking a Lead in Cloud, DevSecOps & SRE to drive enterprise cloud strategy, secure DevSecOps delivery, and reliability engineering standards across mission-critical systems.

This role reports directly to the Head of Cloud Engineering and collaborates closely with Architecture, Cybersecurity, Product Delivery, and Engineering teams.

The ideal candidate is a strategic technical leader with deep experience in cloud governance, observability, secure automation, and operational resilience in regulated environments. They will define cloud blueprint standards, guide multi-cloud design, enforce secure delivery pipelines, and ensure systems meet strict performance and regulatory thresholds.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and continuously evolve the enterprise multi-cloud blueprint, embedding regulatory and security controls across architecture, deployment, and observability layers.
Govern centralized security and compliance telemetry integrations into SIEM platforms for unified enterprise risk oversight.
Standardize build-to-deploy frameworks and pipeline toolchains (Tekton, Argo CD, Terraform, Crossplane), ensuring immutable and compliant delivery workflows.
Define observability and performance baselines aligned to uptime and latency SLAs for mission-critical workflows.
Leverage outputs from security and quality platforms to drive secure-by-default development.
Lead cloud resilience programs ensuring DR, failover, and BCP testing align with regulator expectations.
Lead adoption of predictive automation and drift detection using AI to enhance proactive remediation and operational efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
7+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, DevSecOps, and Site Reliability Engineering
Proven experience with regulated operational frameworks (e.g., CBK, ISO, PCI-DSS, SOC2)
Strong hands-on experience with multi-cloud, IaC, GitOps, and security automation
Deep understanding of resilience engineering, performance optimization, and continuity strategies
Experience leading or supporting internal/external technology and compliance audits

This is a physical role in Nairobi Kenya and therefore remote and hybrid work arrangement will not apply. Working Hours are from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on Saturdays.
